The City of Morganton is proud to present the 13th annual Red White and Bluegrass Festival. The four day event is filled with bluegrass talent, vendors, and festival activities.
Bluegrass Camp for Kids: July 1-3rd hosted by Flatt Lonesome. The camp is designed to teach kids group instructions, stage presents, and songwriting. The kids will have a stage performance on July 3rd at 4pm at the festival.

This four-day event has become one of the largest traditional bluegrass festivals in the world and will continue to grow this year with more than 23 bluegrass artists performing.
*The City of Morganton invites families to celebrate with national and regional bluegrass talent including many International Bluegrass Music Associations award winners. Meet Bluegrass music’s greatest ambassadors, Cindy Baucom of the Premiere Radio Network “Knee Deep In Bluegrass”, Dennis Jones of WNCW 88.7 and “Goin Across The Mountain”.

Visit our vibrant downtown filled with restaurants, galleries and shops before making your way to the festival area for the afternoon and evening performances. Our location is convenient to wonderful natural resources such as Lake James, South Mountain State Park, Table Rock, Grandfather Mountain, Appalachian Trail, Blue Ridge Parkway and the City’s beautiful Catawba River Greenway. Our friendly Burke County Visitor’s Center is ready to help you with information and directions to local and area attractions.
