Armed robbery at Greenville business

GREENVILLE, SC (WSPA) – Police in Greenville are investigating an armed robbery at Community Loans, Thursday afternoon.

According to the Greenville Police Department, the suspect walked into the loan center, on Pleasantburg Drive just before 4:30 p.m., asking for information on how to get a loan.

One victim stated that after the man came into the store with a red bandanna on his face, asking about the loan, he waited a few moments in the corner before leaving the store. After about 20-30 minutes, he came back into the store and robbed them at gunpoint, victims say.

The suspect forced the two women employees into a back room and then took money out of both cash registers, according to police.
