Father turns accused Greenville bank robber in to police

GREENVILLE, SC (WSPA) – Police say they got a tip from the father of man who robbed a bank Thursday afternoon.

31-year-old Nicholas Clay Gregory is accused of robbing United Community Bank on Haywood Road in Greenville.

Police say Gregory handed the teller a note demanding the money then ran away with an undisclosed amount of cash.

Then Gregory’s father contacted police to report his son as the person behind the robbery.

Gregory later turned himself in to police without incident.
