Man arrested for kidnapping woman, son in their home in Union Co.

BUFFALO, S.C. (WSPA) – A man has been arrested for kidnapping a woman and her son in their home on Hightower Drive Saturday, according to the Union County Sheriff’s Office.

34-year-old Otis Lipscomb entered the woman’s home and would not let her or her son leave the house, according to the incident report.

The woman said she heard a knock on her door, and went to answer it when she saw Lipscomb hiding in the hall.

The knock on the door came from deputies, who were trying to serve a warrant, according to the incident report.

The woman said Lipscomb told her not to go to the door or he would hurt her and her son.

Deputies arrived and found a window that was open, and were able to help the woman’s son out of the house.

The incident report says Lipscomb then went into a back bedroom, and the woman was able to open the door for the deputies.

Lipscomb was arrested for kidnapping/abduction.
