GAFFNEY, SC (WSPA) – A man has been shot in Cherokee County.
The shooting happened on Eastview Street in Gaffney after a man went to talk to his ex-girlfriend at the home, according to the Cherokee County Sheriff’s Office.
The incident was reported between 4 and 4:30, Tuesday morning.
Deputies say the woman refused to come out, so he fired multiple shots through the door. One of the bullets struck a man inside the home in the arm, reports say.
The victim was taken to the hospital with non life-threatening injuries, according to deputies.
Deputies say they have a person of interest, but they do not want to release the suspect’s name yet.
If deputies don’t find the suspect by this afternoon, they will release his name and picture.
