SENECA, SC (WSPA) – Timothy Hugh Williamson II, a Westminster Police officer was arrested and charged with Domestic Violence, 2nd degree, according to the Oconee Co. Sheriff’s Department.
They say they responded to a domestic disturbance call at a home in Seneca Sunday, July 3rd.
There was a verbal altercation between Williamson and the victim, who is a member of his household, according to investigators.
They says that verbal altercation turned physical after the victim shattered Williamson’s cell phone screen in the sink.
Williamson then reportedly assaulted the victim twice and damaged some property in the home.
Williamson was arrested and booked into the Oconee County Detention Center.
He was released from the Detention Center Monday on a $10,000 personal recognizance bond.
The Westminster Police department says he resigned Tuesday morning.
