EASLEY, SC (WSPA) – The SC Education Lottery says an Easley couple texted their kids that they won the lottery.
They say the first link they sent them was a news story on an Easley store selling a $100,000 winning ticket.
Then they texted a photo of the dad holding the winner’s check.
“Winning hasn’t completely set in yet,” said Alfred Castle.
He says he is giving his wife $1,500 to spend anyway she wants and will share with the kids too.
The winning ticket was (5, 17, 29, 34, and 37).
The odds of winning $100,000 playing Palmetto Cash 5 are 1 in 501,942.
For selling the claimed ticket, B Pams Food Mart in Easley received a commission of $1,000.
