CAMPOBELLO, SC (WSPA) – Spartanburg County deputies responded to a shooting Wednesday night on Sumac Lane.
Deputies say two men drove to a home on Sumac Lane when they were approached by two men who robbed them. As the victims were leaving the scene, one of the suspects fired at shot into the car.
Christauris Wayne Thompson was arrested and charged with Armed Robbery and Attempted Murder while Rakim Lyvon Gaffney was charged with Armed Robbery.
Investigators say the two men in the car were approached by Thompson who pulled a gun and asked for money from the passenger’s wallet. After handing over cash, the two in the car drove away before Thompson fired a shot, shattering the back window.
The two men left and as they were leaving, the resident shot out the rear window of the car.
Deputies say no one was hurt in the shooting.
