RUTHERFORDTON, N.C. (WSPA) – Two men have been arrested for breaking and entering into multiple homes on Darlington Road, according to the Rutherford County Sheriff’s Office.
A deputy with the Sheriff’s Office stopped a black Honda and saw a dirt bike, air compressor, and other items inside the car.
As deputies were talking with the two men in the car, some of the residents on Darlington Road came down and identified items from the car as being stolen from their property.
The property was returned to the owners, and the two men were arrested.
William Lee Cody Chapman has been charged with Breaking and/or Entering, Resist/Obstruct Public Officer, Possess a Controlled Substance in Jail/Prison, Larceny after Break/Enter, Larceny and Probation Violation. He received a $75,000 secured bond.
Christopher Michael Guffey has been charged with Breaking and/or Entering and Larceny after Break/Enter. He received a $25,000 secured bond.
