SPARTANBURG, S.C. (WSPA) – Officers responded to the parking lot of Burlington Coat Factory on W.O. Ezell Blvd Saturday, July 30, about a possible abduction, according to the Spartanburg Police Department.
A 15-year-old boy told officers he witnessed a woman being forced into an SUV against her will.
The 15-year-old said the woman was yelling for help when a man forced her into the SUV and drove towards downtown.
Shortly after, officers received a call about a partially nude woman running in the downtown area.
Officers found the woman, who had visible injuries, and put her inside a patrol vehicle.
Witnesses then pointed out the SUV and male driver to the officers.
The driver was taken to the hospital.
The incident is still under investigation.
