Woman hits patrol car trying to escape say Spartanburg police

SPARTANBURG, SC (WSPA) – On Sunday, July 31, 2016, officers say they tried to stop a vehicle on Deborah St. and South Church St.

Police say their computer hit on a stolen license plate so they stopped the car.

They say they approached the driver’s side window they told the two people inside to keep their hands where the officer could see them.

They say the driver put the car in drive and tried to leave.

The suspect hit another police officer’s patrol car while trying to leave causing severe damage to the vehicle, according to police.

The suspect vehicle then hit a fence where the driver was arrested.

They say Pamela Christen Franklin was charged with several violations, to include assault and battery, and possession of narcotics.
