WESTMINSTER, SC (WSPA) – A Westminster man is under arrest and charged with attempted murder by sheriff’s deputies after a stabbing.
David Leeland Tanner, 32, was charged by Oconee County Sheriff’s deputies after a man was stabbed early Thursday morning at a home on Johnny Cox Road in Westminster.
Deputies say Tanner came to the front door of the home while two people were inside. There was an altercation and that’s when we’re told Tanner stabbed one of the men in the torso and the arm.
The injured man was taken to Oconee Memorial Hospital where he was interviewed by deputies. He was then taken to Greenville Memorial Hospital for additional treatment.
Tanner has been charged with one count each of attempted murder, possession of a weapon during commission of a violent crime and burglary – first degree. a judge denied him bond on all three charges.
Tanner is being held at the Oconee County Detention Center.
