Victim ID’d in deadly motorcycle wreck in Greenville Co.

GREENVILLE, SC (WSPA)— A motorcyclist has died after hitting a car that was turning on White Horse Road in Greenville, according to the SC Highway Patrol.

It happened around 8:30 Tuesday night near Stauton Bridge Road, troopers say.

The driver of a Honda was turning left at a greenlight when troopers say the motorcyclist, 22-year-old Akem Jamal James, ran into the car.

The driver had minor injuries, was wearing a seat belt and was driving alone at the time of the incident, troopers say.

The SC Highway Patrol is still investigating this incident.

The victim wasn’t wearing a helmet and died at the scene.
