GREER, SC (WSPA) – SWAT and deputies surrounded a home in Greer after a suspect barricaded himself when officers arrived to serve warrants.
Lieutenant Kevin Bobo with the Spartanburg County Sheriff’s Office said deputies assisted Greenville County officers with serving active warrants on a suspect at Bennetts Bridge Road at 11 a.m. Wednesday.
“The suspect barricaded himself in the residence and refused to come out. Our SWAT and negotiation teams responded to the scene, and after several hours, the suspect surrendered without incident,” Bobo said.
The suspect was taken to the Greenville County Detention Facility.
