Woman who apologized during robbery arrested, deputies say

ANDERSON CO., SC (WSPA) – A woman who robbed a 7-Eleven early Tuesday morning while telling the clerk “I’m sorry” has been arrested, according to the Anderson County Sheriff’s Department.

The woman, 42-year-old Traci Lynn Tate, is charged with Armed Robbery after she entered the store and told the clerk she had a gun and needed money from the register.

Tate was arrested around 7:30pm on Tuesday in Piedmont and deputies say she is cooperating with investigators from both Anderson County and Greenville County, where she is suspected in another bank robbery earlier in the month.

Tate is on probation for an attempted armed robbery in July 2014 and is being held in the Anderson County Detention Center awaiting bond.
