Man reported drowned found safe on land at Saluda River

PELZER, S.C. (WSPA) – Crews searched near the Timmerman boat ramp at the Saluda River after reports of a drowning Tuesday night.

The man who was reported drowned has been found on land and is safe, Sheriff John Skipper said.

West Pelzer Fire Department, Pelzer Rescue Squad, Piedmont Fire Department, and Anderson Technical Rescue are on the scene. Deputies are headed that way, and a crew with Greenville County were also asked to respond.
