High School Red Zone Highlights and Scores

(WATCH: Part One of High School Red Zone – Week Zero)
It’s week zero of the high school football season.  For our Daybreak Game of the Week we are at Gaffney, where the Indians will take on TL Hanna at the original “reservation.”

The Cherokee County School District is working to install new turf at Gaffney High School and it isn’t ready.  Back in July, they announced the game would be played on the campus of Gaffney Middle School.  The last time the team played on this field was during the 2007 season.

Gaffney has won nearly 20 state titles.  Their game with TL Hanna is a battle between two 5A teams.  This is the first year South Carolina has gone to five classes instead of four.  The class is determined by the size of the school.

Several games have been postponed due to weather including Emerald at Greenwood, St. Joe’s at Southside Christian, and Ninety Six at Abbeville.
