GRAY COURT, SC (WSPA)- A man found dead in his Gray Court home on Thursday night was killed Wednesday, according to the Laurens County coroner.
The coroner says 64-year-old Arthur Lee Turner died of blunt force trauma to the head Wednesday.
His death has been ruled a homicide.
Laurens County Sheriff Ricky Chastain says his office got the call about 9:30 p.m. Thursday to Turner’s home on Friendship Church Road in Gray Court.
Sheriff Ricky Chastain said Shamika Danielle Cunningham has been charged with murder in Turner’s killing. Chastain said it appears that robbery may have been part of the motive for the killing.
Cunningham was set to appear in court for a bond hearing at 9 a.m. Saturday, but had to be removed after swearing and yelling at the hearing.
Her next bond hearing will be at 4 p.m. Saturday.
The sheriff’s office has asked the S.C. Law Enforcement Division to help with the investigation.
