UNION, S.C. (WSPA)- Deputies are investigating a report of an armed robbery where a man says two men forced their way into his home and held a gun to his head, looking for his grandson.
According to the incident report from the Union County Sheriff’s Office, deputies got the call around 2 p.m. Friday to a home on Browns Creek Church Road in Union.
Deputies say when they got there, the homeowner said a guy knocked on his door asking if his grandson was still selling a car that had been for sale. The homeowner told him the car had been gone for a while and the man left.
According to the report, about five minutes later, the homeowner had another knock on the door. When he opened it, a different man pushed open the door and put a gun to his head, telling him to back up.
At that time, the homeowner said the first guy then walked into the home. They wanted to know if the homeowner’s grandson was home. One of the men told him, “he was there to kill” the grandson because “someone told him to”, according to the report.
When the homeowner told them the grandson wasn’t there, the two men went upstairs to look in the bedrooms and came down with a white bag with something in it.
The homeowner told deputies the two men stole his cell phone he had on his side and then left the house in an older black faded out four-door Honda that was very loud.
The homeowner said when his grandson got home, he didn’t notice anything missing from his room.
According to the report, the suspects are both black men. One is described as being short with a fat face, his hair twisted and was wearing a white t-shirt with blue jeans. The other man was tall and thin, about 6’4″, wearing a lime green in color outfit with short hair.
Deputies are still investigating.
