SPARTANBURG, S.C. (WSPA) – There will be a candlelight vigil for the Spartanburg High School teen who was killed in a moped crash Friday night.
The vigil for 17-year-old Rico Matthews will be held Wednesday at 6:00 p.m. at Barnett Park.
The wreck happened at the corner of Wood Street and Pearl Street around 11 p.m. on Friday.
The accident report says Matthews was turning left onto East Pearl St. and hit the truck.
Matthews was a member of JROTC and Junior Leadership Spartanburg.
