GREENWOOD, S.C. (Index Journal/WSPA) – An infant was born and abandoned at Self Regional Medical Center on August 13th, according to Greenwood County Department of Social Services officials.
The infant was under the protection of Safe Haven with medical professionals.
The infant is an African American girl that weighed 5 pounds, 14 ounces and was 18.34 inches long at birth.
The infant is in DSS custody.
There will be a permanency planning hearing at 1:30 p.m. on Oct. 10th at the Greenwood County Family Courthouse.
Anyone wishing to assert parental rights must do so at the hearing.
