SPARTANBURG, SC (WSPA) – Police say two cars were damaged during a shooting in the parking lot of the Wendy’s on Blackstock Road in Spartanburg.
Nobody was hurt in the shooting which damaged cars belonging to two Chick-fil-A employees whose cars were parked in the lot at the time. The parents of those teenage employees say they’re shaken but thankful.
“I immediately came out here. Especially when they talk about gunshots and my daughter – I was real concerned. We’re just glad they’re okay,” said Marty Taylor.
“Somebody could’ve been in the cars. Somebody could be in anyone of these cars. They don’t where they bullet’s gonna go. I’m just glad that they’re [teenagers] okay,” said Joey Greer.
Investigators recovered one bullet from the back of a car.
According to police, witnesses saw a white car fleeing the scene.
