GAFFNEY, S.C. (WSPA) – An eighth grader at Granard Middle brought a BB gun to school Tuesday, according to Cherokee County Schools Superintendent Quincie Moore.
A student came back to the school with his parents at about 4:00 p.m. to report that another student had a gun during school hours.
The BB gun was confiscated from the 8th grader Tuesday night.
Investigators do not believe that the student threatened anyone with the gun.
The school says they will go by the discipline code, and bringing a weapon to school is grounds for recommendation for expulsion.
