OCONEE CO., SC (WSPA) – 8 people have been arrested in a drug sweep, according to the Oconee Co. Sheriff’s Office.
They say “Operation Infinity” began this morning.
The Sheriff’s Office teamed up with Seneca and Walhalla Police Departments.
They say 25 people are being sought on a variety of drug charges involving methamphetamine, prescription drugs, and marijuana.
They say some people in this drug sweep are also being sought on charges of Unlawful Neglect of a Child.
As of 3:00 pm, 8 people had been arrested so far or were already are in jail and will or have been served their warrants, according to the sheriff.
All the suspects, except for Carrie Tyner, who is being housed in another facility, remain in custody at the Detention Center.
The Oconee County Sheriff’s Office is continuing their investigation and due to that fact, the names of the other individuals being sought will not be released at this time.
