Missing Pickens Co. man found safe after truck ran out of gas in GA

UPDATE: 84-year-old Paul Olonzo Galloway has been found by authorities in Washington County, Georgia.

Galloway is said to be in a disoriented state of mind, but otherwise in good condition, deputies say.

The Pickens County Sheriff’s Office says he was located after his truck ran out of fuel and was parked in the middle of a road.

NORRIS, SC (WSPA) – Deputies are looking for 84-year-old Paul Olonzo Galloway who they say went missing from his home Thursday afternoon.

His family says he suffers from episodes of dementia and takes several medications on a daily basis.

He left his home around 3:15pm saying that he was driving to the end of the driveway but did not stop.

Galloway is 5’8″ tall, weighs 215 pounds and was last seen wearing black pull-up pants, a black and red plaid shirt, and a ball cap with the word “Champion” on the front.

He was driving a burgundy 2010 Ford F150 with a black bed cover with South Carolina license plate number GIM 636.
Anyone with information on Galloway’s location is asked to call the Pickens County Sheriff’s Office at 864-898-5500.
