“Manbang” is the name of the new Netflix-style streaming service of North Korea, according to the North Korea News.
They report the box allows North Koreans to connect to the state run intranet and watch documentaries and 5 TV channels in real time.
Korea Central Television (KCTV) reports the box is in high demand, according to the North Korea News.
They say “Manbang”, translates to “everywhere” or “every direction.”
However, CBS reports that most North Koreans don’t have access to the internet.
Netflix has changed its Twitter description to “Manbang knockoff.”
