SPARTANBURG, SC (WSPA) – A man passed counterfeit movie money in two separate instances at Michael’s at Dorman Centre Dr. according to Spartanburg Police.
The money looks similar to real money EXCEPT the bills are marked with “FOR MOTION PICTURE USE ONLY.”
They say the person made small purchase and got real money as change.
Several people have been passing around Motion Picture $100.00 bills in the city of Woodruff, according to police.
When you are given any type of money, make sure you know what security features to look for.
If you are given a fake bill, you should not give it back to the person who gave it to you. Instead, you should contact law enforcement immediately.
