SPARTANBURG COUNTY, S.C. (WSPA)- Deputies searching for a man wanted on outstanding warrants, found him hiding in a closet.
According to an incident report from the Spartanburg County Sheriff’s Office, 26-year-old Eric Justin Bailey was arrested at a home on Gwinn Mill Road in the Pauline community Wednesday afternoon.
They first learned of Bailey’s whereabouts when a concerned citizen flagged down deputies in that area to let them know Bailey had outstanding warrants and that he was hiding out in a nearby home.
Deputies went to the home and according to the report, a woman answered the door, saying she didn’t live there but that Bailey was the father of her children. She allowed them in to look, telling them Bailey was not in the home.
Deputies say they checked the closet of one of the bedrooms and found Bailey hiding behind clothing.
According to the report, the deputy backed away, telling Bailey to come out, threatening to use a taser at one point after repeatedly telling him to come out of the closet.
Bailey finally came out and was handcuffed. Deputies say they also found a small bag of marijuana during the search.
Bailey was on arrested on the four outstanding warrants and also faces a possession of marijuana charge.
