SPARTANBURG, SC (WSPA) – Students are back in school across the Upstate, but they aren’t the only ones learning new things this year.

Today, a new conference in Spartanburg, is helping teachers get new tricks for the classroom.

EdCamp Sparkle is a conference aimed at helping teachers and educators learn how to integrate new technology into the classroom.

More than 300 teachers headed to Converse College to learn new ways to use apps, green screens, and robotics to help students have a better classroom experience.

The conference allows for hands-on learning, and encourages teachers to find the technology that works best for their students.

EdCamp organizers hope to bring the conference back to Spartanburg for more sessions. They are also looking to expand their conference to Columbia and Charleston.
