Area Native Peake Among NFL Cut Survivors

Former Clemson and Dorman High stand-out Charon Peake is among the rookies who made the New York Jets 53-man regular season roster.

Saturday was the deadline for final cuts.

Peake joins fellow Clemson and Dorman receiver Adam Humphries (Tampa Bay) on an NFL roster. He was a seventh round pick by the Jets this past spring.

Former USC RB Brandon Wilds reached an injury settlement with the Falcons and Atlanta released the rookie.

Greenwood native and USC alumn Kelci Quarles was released by the Colts.
