ROGERSVILLE (WATE) – A woman was arrested in Hawkins County after a deputy found methamphetamine during a traffic stop Saturday.
Stephanie Michelle Bailey was stopped by a deputy while driving a 1996 Chevrolet truck on Highway 665. Investigators say the suspect was not wearing a seat belt.
A K-9 detected drugs during a search. Investigators say 1-ounce of meth, three tablets of Tylenol #3 and 2.5 tablets of alprazolam were found in the vehicle. According to the report, the drugs have a street value of $4,000.
Bailey is wanted in Georgia for a violation of probation for a drug charge, according to investigators. Also, there was a warrant for the suspect from Hawkins County.
The suspect is being held at the Hawkins County Jail. No bond has been set at this time.
Bailey faces charges for possession of methamphetamine with intent to deliver, possession of a controlled substance, failure to appear and fugitive from justice.
