Coyote sighting causes Woodland Elementary to hold indoor recess

GREER, SC (WSPA)— A Greenville County school will keep students inside during recess after a school bus driver spotted a coyote in the woods nearby, school officials say.

The sighting happened around 7 a.m. Tuesday behind the school’s playground.

The school’s assistant principal searched the area and didn’t find anything, school officials say.

School officials say they took extra precaution during drop off.

The school district asked the animal control team to investigate the property further.
