Help find armed robbery suspect in Anderson Co.


ANDERSON CO., S.C. (WSPA) – The Anderson County Sheriff’s Office is asking for your help in finding an armed robbery suspect.

A white man wearing a red bandana, white shirt, and khaki shorts entered a Golden Flake work truck just before 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday, according to the Sheriff’s Office.

The truck was stopped at the intersection of Old Mill Road and Highway 28-bypass in Anderson.

Deputies say the man pulled out a handgun and demanded money from the driver.

They say he then ran into some nearby woods.

If you have any information regarding the identity of the man, you are asked to call the Sheriff’s Office at (864) 260-4400 or Crime Stoppers at 888-CRIME-SC.

All names and information given to Crime Stoppers remains anonymous.

If a tip leads to an arrest, the caller may be eligible for a cash reward.
