Ten Thousand Villages

Twelve years ago a group of volunteers committed to open Ten Thousand Villages Greenville over a bowl of vegetable soup.
Volunteers continue to be mainstay of store. Ten Thousand Villages, a
non profit organization, provides a retail market for over 20,000 makers in 30 developing countries.
Everything is handmade, unique, sustainable and accompanied by a story that explains how selling products through Ten Thousand Villages has transformed artisan lives and that of their families.

Ten Thousand Villages creates opportunities for artisans in developing countries to earn income by bringing their products and stories to our markets through long-term, fair trading relationships.
How shopping in Greenville helps those in developing countries.
