RALIEGH, NC (WSPA) – A new poll from Elon University show half of NC voters oppose House Bill 2, the so called “bathroom bill.”
The poll shows that likely voters who had heard of HB2 (49.5%) oppose the bill.
39.5% support HB2.
The poll showed only 10.6% did not know what the bill was or did not have an opinion either way.
The poll shows 36.2% of voters said it makes them less likely to vote for incumbent Gov. Pat McCrory.
26.9% said HB2 made them more likely to vote for McCrory and 34.6% said it made no difference in their decision.
The poll shows 59.9% of voters thought HB2 made NC’s national reputation worse. 11.4% thought it made the state’s reputation better.
