Employee in hospital after Spartanburg store robbery, police say

SPARTANBURG, S.C. (WSPA) – Spartanburg police say one person is in the hospital and three suspects are at large after a hold-up at a convenience store.

The Breaker’s store at 548 Howard Street was robbed just before 6 p.m. Wednesday.

Police say that three suspects entered the store and demanded money from employees. One suspect fired shots at an employee – hitting him in the hand. Another employee was not injured.

The suspects took cash from the register before heading towards Magnolia Street, police say.

It’s thought that one suspect is on foot, while two others may have left on a black and yellow moped.
