CHARLOTTE, N.C. (WSPA) – The mayor of Charlotte, Jennifer Roberts, and Charlotte-Mecklenburg Police Chief Kerr Putney held a press conference today.
They addressed the recent events in Charlotte and gave us an update after 3 nights of protests.
According to Charlotte Police, the midnight curfew is still in effect.
They said protesters were on the interstate last night, but it was cleared in about 15 minutes.
They also said that one building was vandalized.
One officer had a hand injury and a National Guard member was hurt, according to police.
They say that two officers were sprayed with a chemical agent by protesters.
Three arrests have been made.
