(WSPA)— It’s time for the 6th Annual Mauldin Barbeque Cook-Off! It kicks off tonight from 6 to 9PM with the “anything butt competition.” It continues tomorrow from 11AM until 3. Admission is free but you’ll definitely want to bring money for tasting tickets. They’ll have about 20 cooks from all over the southeast competing for prizes. The festival focuses on the BBQ, but there will be live music and a kid’s zone as well. That’s held at the Mauldin Cultural Center: 101 East Butler Road, Mauldin SC.
Race for the Cure returns to the upstate this weekend. Run or walk tomorrow morning at 10 at Heritage Park in Simpsonville. The morning begins with a survivor breakfast at 7:45 and they’ll start lining people up for the race at 9:30. Make sure you hang around afterward…They’ll have a concert and food trucks. Experience everything that Greek culture has to offer with the Spartanburg Greek Festival. It began yesterday with a lunch but the full festival begins today. Head over today or tomorrow from 11AM until 10PM, or Sunday from 11 until 7. You’ll be able to try Greek food, everything from Gyros to Souvlaki. They’ll have music, dancing and shopping. It’s hosted by St. Nicholas Greek Orthodox Church on Asheville Highway. Admission all weekend is free.
