AMBER Alert canceled; NC toddler found safe

UPDATE: The missing 2-year-old has been found, according to the Rocky Mount, NC Police Department.

ROCKY MOUNT, N.C. (WNCN)- The Rocky Mount Police Department is searching for a missing child. Nevaeh Richardson is a 2-year-old black female, approximately 2 feet tall, weighing 28 pounds.

She has black hair and brown eyes. The child was last seen wearing a white t-shirt with a rainbow on the front of it.

Police believe there is one abductor. He is described as a black male with a bald head. The suspect was a wearing a white t-shirt.

Nevaeh Richardson was last seen at 731 Nashville Road, Rocky Mount.

Her mother says she and the toddler were at a friend’s house on Nashville Road when a man stole the mother’s SUV with Nevaeh inside the vehicle.

Investigators are searching for a green 2004 Mitsubishi Endeavor with NC license tag number: PCD-9688. The SUV has a spare tire on the left front side and a “Live, Love, Laugh” sticker on the back of the vehicle.
