Quarter size hail, 60 mph winds possible in Upstate

SPARTANBURG, SC (WSPA) – Severe thunderstorms are moving through the Upstate with the potential for damaging hail and wind.

Spartanburg, Union and Cherokee counties are under the warning until 5:45 p.m.

Quarter size hail and 60 mph winds are possible.

The storm is producing intense lightning and heavy rain.

The National Weather Service says trees and power lines will be blown down in the area.

There are 2000 power outages in Spartanburg Co.
