Upstate voters to decide on city council positions in two elections

(WSPA)— Voters will decide who’ll fill two city council positions in separate elections in the Upstate.

In Anderson, Jay Blakenship and Kyle Newton are running for city council seat one.

Both are school officials for district 5.

In Gaffney, Charles Montgomery and Harold McCluney are running to fill the spot on city council left vancant after Councilman Thomas Reid passed away, according to the Gaffney Ledger.

Polls are open from 7AM until 7PM.
