TOWNVILLE, SC (WSPA) – Anderson County deputies say the shooter at Townville Elementary School was stopped by a volunteer firefighter before officers arrived.
The Sheriff’s Office says 30-year veteran volunteer firefighter Jamie Brock held the suspect until law enforcement arrived to arrest him.
Brock is a firefighter for the Townville Volunteer Fire Department.
Law enforcement was at the scene within 7 minutes of the shooting, according to the Sheriff’s Office.
Two students and a teacher were injured in the shooting. The shooter’s father, 47-year-old Jeffrey Osborne, was shot and killed at his home on Osborne Road before the shooting at the school.
