ANDERSON CO., S.C. (WSPA) – A teen has died after being shot in the leg, according to Anderson County Coroner Greg Shore.
The coroner says 18-year-old Courvocia Hunter was shot on September 25th on Clemson Boulevard near Sandy Springs.
Hunter was sitting in the back seat of a car when he was shot in the left leg, Shore says.
He says the driver of the car was also shot in the leg.
After they were shot, they went to a gas station where they allegedly got rid of a gun they had.
The driver then left that gas station and went to another gas station where someone else took Hunter to the hospital, Shore says.
Quite a bit of time passed between the shooting and when he got to the hospital.
Hunter lost a lot of blood and had to be resuscitated, according to Shore.
He was taken to AnMed Hospital where he died at about 11:00 p.m. Thursday.
His death has been ruled a homicide.
The Anderson County Sheriff’s Office is investigating.
