SPARTANBURG CO., S.C. (WSPA) – A woman has died after a crash that happened on Drayton Road Saturday, according to S.C. Highway Patrol.
The Spartanburg County Coroner says that 74-year-old Marlene Morrison Rushton died on Sunday from injuries she sustained in the crash.
A call came in about the crash at about 3:45 p.m. Saturday.
Larry Mitch Rushton, 75, was in the median and made a right turn when his car was struck by a pick-up truck.
The 16-year-old who was driving the truck was injured and taken by EMS to Spartanburg Regional Medical Center.
Larry Rushton was charged with improper turn.
He was also injured, but was not taken by EMS to the hospital.
His passenger, Marlene Rushton, was taken to Spartanburg Regional Medical Center where she later died from her injuries.
S.C. Highway Patrol investigated the accident.
