ANDERSON CO., S.C. (WSPA) – One man is dead after a crash that happened on US 29 at Whitten Road, according to the S.C. Highway Patrol.
The crash happened at about 8:30 p.m. on Thursday, Sept. 29th.
According to the Anderson County Coroner, 77-year-old Weldon Edward Holder died at about 7:10 p.m. Monday from injuries he received in the crash.
A 32-year-old man was stopped on US 29, waiting for traffic before making a turn when Holder hit him in the rear.
The 32-year-old had minor injuries and was taken by EMS to the hospital.
Holder was also injured and taken by EMS to AnMed where he later died from his injuries.
Both drivers were wearing their seat belts.
