HARVEY COUNTY, Kan. (KSNW) – A drone helped find a missing child in Harvey County this weekend.
The call came out Sunday evening that a child was missing in the 14000 block of NW 12th. The Harvey County Emergency Response Team deployed their drone to search for the child.
It is equipped with forward-looking infrared radar, and that helped them search for a heat signature.
The child was found in a field nearby by a firefighter around 7:30 p.m. The child was in good condition and is now back with family.
