CHEROKEE COUNTY, S.C. (WSPA) – We now know where Cherokee County leaders plan to build a 35-acre nursing home for veterans.
County Administrator Holland Belue said it’ll be near Hampshire Drive and Providence Road. That’s right along a frontage road off Interstate 85.
The two parcels of land will cost about $600,000, with one parcel to be left for other economic development. An environmental study needs to be completed before county leaders close on the around February 2017.
The $41 million to build the 108 bed nursing home will come from federal and state funding.
We’re also told it would bring nearly 200 jobs to the area.
