ASHEVILLE, NC (WSPA)— Prosecutors will now seek the death penalty against A man accused of killing his pregnant girlfriend and shooting her young son.
The Buncombe County District Attorney’s Office made the announcement this week.
Nathaniel Dixon is facing several charges including first-degree murder in the killing of Candace Pickens.
Dixon was arrested in May after Pickens was found dead and shot in the face in an Asheville Elementary School playground.
Her son was found shot in the head, but survived.
