(WBAY) – Green Bay Packers tight end Jared Cook got more than he bargained for while snacking on some chicken wings.
Cook Tweeted a photo of what appears to be a chicken head on a fork. He said it happened Tuesday when he ordered a carry-out meal at Buffalo Wild Wings.
Cook says it happened at the Buffalo Wild Wings restaurant on S. Oneida St., down the street from Lambeau Field.
He said he immediately took the food back. “It all went back,” he laughed.
Buffalo Wild Wings released a statement to Action 2 News:
Buffalo Wild Wings takes food preparation, service and quality extremely seriously and we are looking into this situation. We’ve reached out to Jared Cook and our suppliers for more information.”
Cook Tweeted that the restaurant workers’ response to the “fowl”-up was, “‘Sorry, unfortunately this happens because the chicken is fresh,’” and his reaction to that was, “What?!?”
Cook said the incident won’t stop him from eating chicken wings. “Seeing as how it’s one of my favorite foods, I don’t see how I can give that up. But my wife is a vegetarian, and she’s strongly encouraging that.”
