CLEMSON, S.C. (WSPA) – Clemson University Police are investigating after they say students were subjected to racial slurs, and KKK flyers were found on campus.
They say there were 3 separate reports of racial slurs and inappropriate conduct.
It happened as the students were walking on campus, police say.
Officers identified the people responsible in 2 of the 3 incidents, but say they are not affiliated with the university.
The campus police reached out to state and federal law enforcement after KKK recruitment flyers were found Friday on campus.
The flyers were found in clear Ziploc bags, and appeared to be dropped off by a moving car.
Flyers were also found in Oconee County the same night.
CUPD has increased their patrols on campus after these incidents.
